6 Genius Cleaning Hacks

Cleaning hacks can speed up your cleaning tasks

Some people enjoy cleaning while others hate it. Some things make cleaning a nuisance, like bread crumbs inside a cabinet or drawer or persistent crayon marks on walls. With our genius cleaning hacks and tidying techniques, you can feel creative and clever while easily and quickly cleaning your space.

1. Newspaper for a Dry Garbage Bin

This one is one of our favorite cleaning hacks. Cleaning the recycle bin is by no means fun. But it is an inevitable task as garbage bags tend to leak almost every time. All you have to do is place a plastic bag at the bottom of your trash bin and place your last day’s newspaper over it. The newspaper will soak up all the spills, and the plastic bag under it will prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the trash can. Toss it all out when you discard the trash.

2. Mop Wearing Socks

It requires some spirit to mop, does it not? What if you can transform mopping into something you look forward to each time. Sounds impossible? Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and fill the mixture in a spray bottle. Put on thick socks that absorb well. Spritz on the floor or the bottom of the socks and just start skating around the floor of the house. The legs are much stronger than your arms and enable you to finish the task quickly. Fun is just an added bonus. Throw the socks in the washing machine after you are done.

3. Vodka Spritz for a Clean Mattress

Hate having to deep clean pillows and mattresses? Just fill vodka into a spray bottle and spritz them while changing the sheets. You do not have to worry about an odor or wait for them to dry as vodka evaporates really quickly to be odorless. There, you have disinfected your mattress and the pillows in about 20 seconds.

4. Vacuum Your Cabinets and Drawers

You clean the exterior of the cabinets and drawers with a dampened cloth and then apply the same process to the inside parts. Try vacuuming the interior of the cabinets and drawers with its brush attachment. The persistent dust and small crumbs will not be a hassle anymore, and the long vacuuming pipe provides you with more accessibility as well.

5. Toothpaste for Crayon Marks

Got kids in the house? They are at that wall-destroying age? Cleaning sprays discolor your walls? Get a baking soda-containing toothpaste that is non-gel. Rub away crayon marks with it without leaving any signs.

6. Blend-Clean Your Blender

Here is one of the best cleaning hacks you will ever get to know. Ever cut your finger while cleaning the blades of your blender? It is a tricky task. But not anymore. You can clean the inside of the blender by putting in a few drops of dishwashing soap and filling it halfway with water. Press the ‘blend’ button and let it run on ‘low’ for 10 seconds. Rinse it with clean water.

Now Go Put These Cleaning Hacks To Use!

Your chore list does not feel that time-consuming now, does it? You can apply these cleaning hacks to clean your stuff quickly, and make cleaning less of a chore. Good luck out there!
