My Space

In the upper right hand corner of the Homepage, you will be able to upload an image or video clip. This image or video clip can be a picture of yourself, your family, your pet or most anything you want. The same goes with the video clip. This spot on the page is yours and can be viewed only by you or your friends and family you choose to give your password. My Page

My Page is a single limited space page for you to upload images and copy to. It can be a family page, or mini family newsletter. It can be that Christmas insertion page you include in with your Christmas card every year. Why limit it to Christmas, you can have a summer issue. You can now include crisp clear images to the content as well as video.

If you are single and want a page all about you and your activities complete with images and your favorite song included, here you go. You want larger space for your Bio, fill in what information you would like to include in your Bio space and link it to My Page for more information about number one. My Page is a private or public page depending on your choice. Click here to enter My Page.

Family Matters

This space is reserved for the Family Newsletter. Several Newsletter templates are offered from which to choose. There will be no FamilyAndPets.com boarders and content associated with YOUR Newsletter. Only at the bottom of the page will there be any reference to FamilyAndPets.com, which will those who wish to view our home page. You and your family can upload content, images and video to this site, which is password protected. You can upload and edit content, images and video at any time. You can provide your family and friends with the key or password to view the site, or you can email the Newsletter to them. Gone are the days of waiting for everyone to get their family news to the family editor before you can publish. Gone are the days of paper, envelopes, postage and a trip to the post office. Family Funnies kind of speaks for itself. If you have a short under five minute video of some funny family fun you would like to share, you may upload the video to the Family Funnies section of the site. See how here.

Bio

The Bio section allows you to upload an image and information about yourself. This information can be about your hobbies and interests, as well as your likes and dislikes.

It can be used to meet and get to know other people, and is linked to the chat room for one on one, or group conversation. To upload your Bio click here.

Chat Room

Log into the Chat Room to meet up with friends and family, or see who's there and strike up a conversation. Parents, it is highly recommended that you monitor the kids. This service is for all age groups, however it is split into various groups including the younger set so they don't wander into the wrong Chat Room. Each Chat Room requires your password to enter. Blogs

Otherwise known as People's Passions. If you are an expert on a particular topic and you would like to share your expertise with others, here is your chance. See Featured Articles on the lower right side of the Home Page and use it as a template for your article. Under your article give us a brief description of your qualifications as an expert on the topic you are writing about. For more on Blogs, click here.

Topics

Unlike Blogs ,Topics will allow people to comment on your Blog. You do not need to be qualified to talk about a given subject. For that matter you may have a question you want to pose hoping someone will have an answer. It could be anything such as, is there any one best way to store flower, or vegetable seeds prior to planting them in order to give them a longer shelf life? Discussion Groups - Forum

Discussion Groups is similar to chat rooms except a common topic among the group is discussed. This can be approached like a club. Let's say you belong to a local quilting club but it would be great not to restrict the club to local members only. Having a nation wide or world wide club would not only be interesting, but this would give the club members an opportunity to learn new techniques, new materials such as materials indigenous to a location, etc. We also supply an image page for those who would like to share a picture of their finished project. On this site we have a multitude of links to many many sites. Some of these links are convenient everyday sites that we use all the time but have to look them up each time we want to use them. Here we have a concentrated number of sites at your fingertips.

Some of these sites are specialty sites while others are popular shopping sites. If you have some links to sites you enjoy and think others will as well, you are welcome to email them to us and we will take a look at them for possible inclusion into our system. My Photo's

Remote backup is becoming a necessity these days what with the proliferation of digital cameras. Backing up off site is like insurance. I would hate to be one of the unfortunate folks who have lost everything due to a fire. Photographs of your life's events are irreplaceable. I know you think it only happens to others, but everyone who has it happen to them said the same thing. Backup your images, you will be happy you did.

E-mail My Home Page

This feature will allow you to e-mail your Home Page to your family and friends without the need to provide them with your log in information, i.e. password. They will be able to view your home page, plus anything that you have uploaded such as My Space, My Page, Family Matters and My Favorite Photo's. They will not be able to make any changes to these spaces. You can also e-mail the Home Page even if you have not yet joined the Club. The familyandpets.com generic page will be sent.
